2. Add a dedicated child’s-photo/video consent

Because JPIPS is a preschool, don’t bury photo/video permission inside a general admission consent. Keep a separate parent/guardian consent mechanism for:

Website + Instagram/Facebook + YouTube + digital advertising/promotional creatives + school publications.

3. Be very careful with Meta Pixel and remarketing

Because this is a children’s educational environment, the website should not be configured to create behavioural advertising profiles of children. The DPDP Act specifically prohibits targeted advertising directed at children, subject to its prescribed framework and exemptions.

For JPIPS, I would configure analytics/marketing primarily around parent/adult interactions, not child profiles.

4. Do not collect Aadhaar through the public website unless genuinely required

There is little reason for an ordinary preschool enquiry form to ask for Aadhaar. Keep Aadhaar or other government identifiers within the secure admission/ERP workflow when genuinely necessary. UIDAI advises against putting Aadhaar in the public domain.

5. The website team must know every system receiving form data

Make a simple internal data-flow map:

Website Form → Website Server → CRM/ERP → Email/WhatsApp/SMS → Analytics → Payment Gateway

For each destination, record what data is sent, why it is sent, where it is processed, how long it is retained and who can access it.

This is particularly important because the DPDP framework places responsibility on the Data Fiduciary even when processing is performed by a Data Processor.
